With the new construction of the Bad Feilnbach town hall, another important step has been taken for the renewal of the center of this rural community in the beautiful Upper Bavarian upland. An open house for the citizens is to be created, which brings together administration, registry office, wedding and meeting room and exhibition areas for smaller events under one roof.
The draft follows the specifications from the previous urban development competition and the development plan. The long side of the new building frames the well-designed town hall square on its east side. The stone pavement is brought up to the house. The slight rotation of the building suggested in the development plan is retained, so the square opens to the south to the Wendelstein and to the east to the incoming visitor. On the east side of the house, the new Bürgerpark will be created, a green garden with valuable trees. This is about 3 m lower than the village square, the new town hall mediates between these two levels. In this project, Climateflux brought its expertise through a consultancy for climate engineering.
