As we are experiencing right now, heat waves are occurring more frequently and intensively. Therefore, detecting the coolest pedestrian and bike routes is crucial to allow walking and biking without affecting health. To reach this goal, Climateflux, in cooperation with the Chair of Cartography and Visual Analytics of Technical University of Munich will develop an API Platform to create a real-time spatiotemporal mapping application Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (StMWi) has funded the two-year “CoolStreet” project through the Bayern Innovativ Digitalisation Fund.
