Profile:

Ata Chokhachian is a research scientist, educator, and advisor in the domains of building technology and urban climate. He held the position of research associate from 2015 to 2023 at the Technical University of Munich, contributing to the chair of Building Technology and Climate Responsive Design and the chair for Architecture Informatics.
In 2022, he successfully completed his Ph.D. dissertation in developing experimental and simulation-based tools to quantify outdoor thermal comfort conditions in urban environments. In January 2020, he founded Climateflux, a company offering platforms for data-driven and computational workflows for acquiring climatic knowledge.
At present, he holds a Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and is conducting postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He is excels at developing and implementing computational decision-making processes, tools, and workflows designed to assist architects and urban planners.
